Lactalis Canada Ranked One of Most Trusted Brands in Canada and #1 in Dairy on 2023 Gustavson Brand Trust Index

August 31, 2023 – Toronto, ON – Lactalis Canada – the Canadian dairy leader behind iconic brands like Cracker Barrel, Black Diamond, Balderson, Astro and Lactantia and a subsidiary of France-based Lactalis Group – has once again been ranked one of the Most Trusted Brands in Canada and #1 in the Dairy Products and Alternatives category on the 2023 Gustavson Brand Trust Index (GBTI), a consumer trust study conducted by the Peter B. Gustavson School of Business at the University of Victoria in British Columbia.

The Gustavson Brand Trust Index (GBTI) is a significant research study conducted by an academic institution that explores consumer trust, the factors influencing it, and the brands that excel in building trust. Conducted between January and April 2023, the study surveyed more than 13,000 Canadians on 400 national and global brands in 33 categories in Canada measuring consumer trust through the following dimensions: brand trust overall, brand authenticity, brand ability, brand affinity and advocacy.
