Lactalis Canada Announces Appointment of Aamir Asgarali as Vice President, Ingredients & Exports
June 5, 2024 – Toronto, ON – Lactalis Canada, the Canadian dairy leader behind iconic brands like Cracker Barrel, Black Diamond, Balderson, Astro and Lactantia and a subsidiary of France-based Lactalis Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Aamir Asgarali to the position of Vice President, Ingredients & Exports (I&E), effective May 6, 2024.
In his role, Aamir will be responsible for driving Lactalis Canada’s I&E strategy to service a global market, lead the team and identify innovative ways to further build on the success of the I&E business within the dairy industry.
With a deep understanding of the Canadian and global dairy systems and market, Aamir joined Lactalis Canada in 2016 as the Manager, Sales Development within I&E before being promoted to Director, Commercial & Trade in 2021. Prior to joining Lactalis Canada, Amir served in the public sector in various capacities at the Canadian Dairy Commission and Ministry of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.
Aamir replaces Janice Cox who will be commencing an extended transition plan with the intent to retire in the Summer of 2025 following over 30 years of service to Lactalis Canada.
